Pseudo Slang (BRONX, BUFFALO, CHICAGO) is a jazz-esque hip-hop outfit fronted by Emcee Sick, who has been working with brilliant collaborators such as Pawcut, a Cat Called FRITZ, Rawhead, Dj Form, and many more. Boasting a lengthy catalogue of releases spanning 20+ years with a focus on the beloved medium of vinyl, the PSlang has predominantly self-released on Sick’s label Baby Steps Hip Hop (aka Baby Steps Again) which is the hip hop event which gave way to the Griselda movement in Buffalo, NY.
PS’s long-running collaboration with beat master-crafter Pawcut has been incredibly fruitful, for a sampling enjoy this Gratis Download of the Wanderverse C-Side (Chi-Side) on us. The proper hour-long Wanderverse album we pressed on to a Gatefold Double-LP was born from an extensive physical, spiritual, and existential wandering event and truly seemed fitting to ‘release’ into the world during these days and times.
We intend to remain vigorously prolific in the wake of the recent span of devastation to ALL ARTISTS and the independent venues that support them, caused by the pandemic, war-mongering, and general abuses of predatory capitalism.

The ups and downs of artists’ lives can have soaring highs and plummeting lows, and in Sickeee’s case the incredible connections of 20+ years of heavy touring and creative growth are beyond worth it, embodied in an ever-stacking physical body of artifacts in the world. Through stints of homelessness, and the running sacrifice of stability, gratefulness remains the overarching take-away.
The list of collaborators and labels PSlang has worked with is long, but just to name a few: Pawcut, Vinia Mojica, Grap Luva, Daringer, Jeru the Damaja, a Cat Called FRITZ, Matt Gold, Dude & Phaeb, Maker, Rawhead, Dj Tommee, Dj LoPro, and labels like Baby Steps Hip Hop, Fat Beats Records, Sub-Bombin Record, and more
A 20+ year run of touring internationally in support of this music which means so much to so many is a blessing, and gratitude overflows.
